LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND – July 2026 – PointFit Technology recently took the stage at the 31st European College of Sport Science (ECSS) Annual Congress, held at the SwissTech Convention Center in the Olympic Capital of Lausanne. Co-Founder & CEO Kenny Oktavius led the delegation, marking an incredible week of sports science innovation, expert collaboration, and a memorable visit to the iconic International Olympic Committee (IOC) Headquarters.
Unveiling Our Validation Trial Results
During the congress, PointFit proudly presented the findings of our latest validation trial work, completed in collaboration with Carl James and the Hong Kong Baptist University team.
The presented pilot study, titled "Exploring the Temporal Relationship Between Sweat and Blood Lactate Using a Wearable Biosensor in Cyclists," highlighted key milestones in our sensor accuracy:
- High Metabolic Correlation: Testing on recreational cyclists revealed that after optimizing for temporal alignment, our continuous PF ACE sweat lactate data achieved an exceptional correlation of 0.9547 ± 0.0327 against traditional, discrete capillary blood lactate markers.
- Real-Time Tracking: The study successfully proved that sweat lactate can reliably track systemic metabolic stress under personalized calibration, opening up new frontiers for non-invasive, real-time athletic monitoring.
